I love "tapas" restaurants because generally you can sample many things off the menu without paying exorbitant prices. Not here. Although the decor is beautiful and seating comfortable, the food is overpriced, especially for the quality. Three very small, bland avocado eggrolls with three miniscule dipping sauces = $7. A small dish of bruschetta (misspelled on the menu and mispronounced by the server), which was not tasty at all due to a very sweet balsamic reduction = $8. A serving of four greasy tostones = $7. One Bombay martini = $10!!! One double espresso - $8!!! Although all the servers look like they're moonlighting from their supermodel jobs, the service is haughty at best, leaning toward condescending. If you want great tapas at acceptable prices, with wonderful ambience and service, visit Cafe Tu Tu Tengo in Orlando. If you want to leave your dining experience with an empty wallet and an empty stomach to go with it, head right down to World Beat Cafe.

I not only agree with #1 the words were taken right out of my mouth. From the price/value, to the wait staff you hit it right on the head. Management needs to rethink where they are at. This is Melbourne. Maybe the brunch is keeping them afloat, cause I'll be dang if I know what else does.

I am surprised at a few of the comments. I take my family there often. The kids beg us to go eat at World Beat Cafe. We always have fun and get plenty of excellent food. It is a nice change, finally a restaurant that is clean, friendly and serves great food. The brunch is the best Ive seen. The parties are even better.

1,2 and 5 need to stick to a 99 cent menu. This place is great for those who can afford it.
