Description: The Museum was founded in 1969 by a group of caring Brevard County citizens, opened it's doors in 1973, and is the repository of many of Brevard County's historic artifacts and scientific specimens. It is continually striving to increase and improve the acquisition and maintenance of its collections. The Museum is located on 26 acres, 22 of which are devoted to three main nature trails. Each represents a separate, unique ecosystem: a Pine Sand Hill, a Fresh Water Marsh, and a Hardwood Hammock.
