Posted 11/06/08 - 19:24:15: #1 I would like to know if TIF funding law is available to private condominium associations seeking to add substantial improvements within their association geographic boundaries. Within the proposed district would be a current resident population of approximately 320 resident, with a build-out anticipated to be another 300 units currently in the hands of foreclosing banks, the developer having defaulted. The improvements would be the following: purchase of an existing intra-boundary golf course, a beach side pavilion, a swimming pool for all residents, clearing of liens on an existing community center,expansion of an existing marina and boat storage yard.
